I've had the privilege of working as a journalist, advocating for farmers, and applying agricultural policy to provincial programs. My focus in all those roles has been on creating and capturing value by connecting clear thinking, strong communications, and smart strategies with people, processes and products. I'm proud to have spent most of my career within Ontario agriculture. It's an industry that's a bedrock part of the economy, yet ever new and changing. And it's full of interesting people who work hard creating value, resiliency and opportunity. I've been blessed to work alongside a number of those people in teams, coalitions, working groups and boards. Plus, I've had great opportunities to contribute to the leadership and career development of those with whom I've rubbed shoulders.Although my formal career is now becoming less busy, structured and time-bound, I plan to keep my eyes open to interesting opportunities that spark my interest and which provide a chance to make a meaningful contribution.
