John T. Collins, II, MPH, is the president of Collins Consulting a Veteran Owned small business (SDVOSB) specializing in consulting, project management, CARF accreditation preparation, strategic planning and temporary interim executive replacement services. To date the company has served hundreds of employers around the world with consulting services that help organization's prepare for CARF Accreditation along with the other services previously mentioned. John also serves as the chairman of the Accreditation Consulting Group a mutual benefit corporation formed to create and ensure high standards for consistent consulting practices to guide professionals who assist organizations seeking CARF accreditation. Prior to starting Collins Consulting, John was employed as Senior Vice President of Goodwill Industries for 28 years. A native of Santa Cruz, California, Mr. Collins earned his Master of Public Health Degree from San Jose State University, and his Bachelor of Science Degree Southern Illinois University. Mr. Collins has held positions in both the private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Goodwill, Mr. Collins provided consultant services to companies regarding troubled employees and health issues; Program Director for Dominican Hospital's EAP; and Director of Human Organ Recovery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.Mr. Collins has been very active in the support and implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, The Workforce Investment Act and many educational strategies. As a CARF Surveyor, he ensures that organizations around the world follow the standards for quality employment and training programs. He served on the Workforce Investment Board as well as having served on The Monterey County Tourist and Travel Alliance, the Board of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce and Monterey County Hospitality Boards of Directors. He is an elected Trustee and past president of the board of Santa Cruz City Schools.
