I chose Shot Tower Capital, LLC for my two-week senior encounter project after I reached out to a Gilman alumnus, a partner at Shot Tower Capital. I appreciated my time interning with Shot Tower Capital and dove into the boutique investing world of the music and media sector. I gained valuable insight on what it takes to be successful in the investment banking field, and I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to dip their feet in the water, so to speak, in the finance industry. Developed and maintained relationships with alumni associations to increase engagement in alumni activities. Assisted in the preparation of presentations to clients on investment opportunities. Researched Potential Clients for Shot Tower Capital, LLC. Worked under the leadership of new and experience alumni in the Baltimore area.

I gained valuable hands-on experience dealing with customers in person. I spent the summer of my sophomore year, up until the middle of my junior year in high school, working at Hayfields Country Club. Greeted customers, provided assistance, and answered questions about course policies. Unloaded deliveries of merchandise from trucks and restocked shelves. Helped manage the most important side of the golf business, the members. Assisted customers with loading bags into vehicles. Maintained cleanliness of the department by sweeping, mopping, dusting and stocking shelves as needed.
