I was previously head of communications for PwC UK regions and before that I led corporate affairs for PwC in Northern Ireland.For most of my career I was a practicing management consultant as well as an award-winning freelance journalist, media and strategy advisor; I’ve presented business, news and current affairs programmes for UK and overseas broadcast outlets.As a management consultant I specialised in strategy, Government and public policy, marketing and communications. I’m a past vice-president of the Institute of Management Consulting and was previously a partner with an international consulting firm, advising clients in the UK and EU.I’ve planned the logistics, communications and media-management of high-profile and sensitive events including product recalls, major incidents and insolvency appointments as well as managing media/social media and reputation evaluation and performance. I’ve acted as a UK government media briefer on economic and investment issues and media-managed VIP visits and sensitive issues and advised on and co-authored technical and thought-leadership publications on topics ranging from economics and public policy to foreign direct investment, devolution and tax policy.I’ve recently completed two terms as a member of the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, (NISRA).
