Under the direction of the executive director National Centers of Animal Disease (NCAD) the director is responsible for the oversight of the section and unit heads within the containment levels 2, 3, 3Ag, and 4 laboratories. The director responsibilities include but are not limited to, meeting financial targets, staffing, biological safety, the animal care program, laboratory logistics, and human resources issues. As the director I have had to manage scientific research, manage and report diagnostic testing for the facility, managed laboratory functions, managed scientific capacity of the laboratory, provided scientific advice, developed strategic alliances and have experience in managing financial resources.
