While degrees in engineering and law may not be the traditional path to a non-profit career, my love for non-profit work began at an early age while volunteering with my parents. After practicing law for almost 10 years, a desire for a more rewarding experience led me back to my non-profit roots. For more than 20 years, my development career has covered a wide range of activities from annual fund drives to major gifts to corporate sponsorships, with an emphasis on special events. In the non-profit sector, staffing and resources are minimal, so learning every facet of the position was essential to success. Sharing this experience and skills with others has always been a passion and been a driving force in my volunteerism. Fortunately, San Antonio has many opportunities for my time...Friends of the San Antonio Public Library, Texas Public Radio, University Health PFAC Steering Committee, San Antonio Mastersigners, and more!
