Workshops Process ManagerKey Tasks• Focus on Longannet Turbine, Turbine Feed Systems and general rotation plant in term of improvement in plant performance and reliability.• Completion of plant outages on Turbine, Turbine Feed Systems and rotation plant whilst meeting target parameters of the technical, budgetary, quality and timescale outputs • Providing regular reporting to senior management of performance against budgetary targets & providing analysis of department opportunities.• Management of all shift maintenance for Longannet Power station• Ensuring all relevant regulatory standards are met & adhered to through process monitoring and reporting

Generation

Senior Mechanical EngineerKey Tasks• Provide authoritative advice and guidance to all Generation sites on engineering issues, including outage planning, incident investigation and general engineering input and in particular, rotating plant• Liaise with Thermal Technical Services, Spain on approval of all technical specifications for the Generation business projects above £85k• Provide technical support on rotating plant for sites within the Iberdrola fleet in Spain and Mexico• Provide technical support on new initiatives for Global implementation within Iberdrola.• Provision of technical support for Longannet Turbine outages• Support the Iberdrola International review of plant incident investigations , leading to the development of robust technical recommendationsReason for leaving: Technical Requirement to focus support on Longannet Power Station

Generation

Project Manager• Leading a Multi-Functional team within the Asset Management section in the development of multi-discipline design solutions and the preparation of technical specifications with the assistance of the group technical experts.• Identify, deploy and manage appropriate human resource from within Generation and External agency on a project basis and from across the ScottishPower Gas Group as appropriate • Lead and provide commercial solutions to the business whist meeting the technical aspirations of the project concept.• Lead and assist the Senior Project Manager to prepare and present investment cases. • Manage and deliver project budget within the commercial constraints• Manage and actively identify all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project specifically the adequate application of and adherence to both statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements.Ensure full project compliance to CDM.• Manage the process of regular meetings, communications and reports to the Business, which provide accurate and timely information to support their understanding of strategic risks, issues, opportunities, impacts and progress.Reason for leaving: Company Restructure requiring emphasis on technical support

Kriel Power Station

Site Manager Responsible for management of the Rotek Site at Kriel Power Station comprising of 25 permanent personnel and up to 200 during interims and general overhauls. Responsible for Site Business plan, Site Financial performance, Quality and Safety for all site activities in line with current business practices and the control of the Business Management System pertaining to all site activities Responsible for the onsite maintenance, interim repair, pre-go inspection, general overhaul, decommissioning and recommissioning activities on ABB 500Mw Turbo-Generators BFPT and turbine auxiliaries. Responsible for the control of all such activities in terms of resourcing, tooling, cost, quality and program Carried out as technical advisor a General Overhaul of ABB turbo-generator set at Loy Yang Power Station in Australia. Revisited Loy Yang Power Station to review outage planning for future outages

Commissioning Manager Responsible for the management and control of all commissioning and recommissioning activities at Matla P/S, Kriel P/S and Matimba P/S on turbo generator plant. The provision of a 24/7 commissioning and troubleshooting service to 3 Eskom Power Stations Responsible for the management of the commissioning departments at each Power Station in terms of their budget, training, skills enhancement and provision of technical support. Responsible for the implementation of Rotek quality and safety systems.  The research and provision of new methodology and equipment. The development and implementation of commissioning procedures from a component level thru to system live commissioning Ongoing support for other Eskom sites as needs aroseReason for leaving: Company request to consolidate Commissioning and Site Management at Kriel P/S

 Senior Commissioning Technician – Turbines• Responsible at site level for the commissioning of Turbo Generator plant, the setting & recommissioning of turbine control, power and safety systems, turbo-gen oil systems (seal, lube, safety, control, power and governor oil circuits ) on MAN, ALSTHOM and ABB units between 500MW & 950MW.• Responsible for the determination and implementation of the SOW on the power plant which covered all turbo generator readings and settings on above systems from decommissioning and run-down thru to recommissioning, run up and overspeed testing.• Responsible for problem solving on above systems on a 24hr basis• Implementation of routines which addressed safety device on-load trip testing• Carried out the recommissioning and RTS of Clients in the outside market I.E sugar and paper mill plants• Carried out the recommissioning and RTS tests at Koeberg Nuclear Power StationReason for leaving: Promotion to Commissioning Manager
