My technical background is in infrastructure technology and since 2007, I have partnered with 100+ small and midsize businesses to provide expertise in IT and business consulting as a Managed Services Provider.I am proud to offer my services to:* consult and advocate on behalf of my clients. - Connecting with my clients while providing critical business and technical advice in support of their mission is exactly the reason I do the work I do. * confront the technical challenges in leading, executing, and supporting relevant business technologies.- Each technical task is fulfilling, from architecting a solution and monitoring endpoints, to supporting and teaching new technologies.* be passionate about cultivating mutually respectful professional relationships, 360 degrees. - Whether to a client, end user, CEO, or colleague, I find great joy in being of service. ----------------------------------------------------------------My story:Growing up, I wanted to be a CPA. Weird for a kid … but yeah. After my military service, I studied Business & Accounting in college, but once I stumbled into technology, my trajectory immediately changed. I realized that for me, it has always been about helping others with complex situations, and problem solving within a set of rules (perhaps there is a conversation around the binary logic of 0 & 1 versus debits & credits?). While working as a Project Manager, one of my projects was to replace all the computers, but I underestimated the amount of RAM we needed. Being ever diligent with the budget, I asked around and found out that "it's no big deal" to upgrade the memory myself. Little did I know that once I removed the cover from that first computer, I would be instantly hooked. I switched gears, got a job in desktop support, and never looked back.As my career advanced from helpdesk, through systems & network engineering, and into client facing roles, I realized I could more directly, and meaningfully, impact smaller organizations as an MSP leader. My genuine curiosity and constant learning, coupled with my technical and business experience, bring tremendous benefit to my SMB clients, and great fulfillment to me.I am still infatuated with technology. I still love helping people. I still devour information. And I still enjoy providing solutions to complex situations within a set of rules._

Vice President Of TechnologyParadigm Technology Services Jul 2007 - Oct 2016Denver, Colorado, United StatesIn 2002, I thought I had invented the MSP concept. I noticed that much of the technology that enabled large organizations to scale and work efficiently wasn’t readily available to smaller businesses. Further, it wouldn’t make sense for them to hire an on-staff IT Professional to manage systems and support employees. “Perhaps I could build a sort of Co-Op IT business for SMBs so they could spread the cost out and bring enterprise-grade tech into reach …!” As the business plan for Paradigm was coming together, I discovered that some very smart people were already building out my vision, the MSP business model. With nearly ten years of technical experience, coupled with an aptitude and affinity for business, I embarked on an adventure to partner with smaller organizations and leverage relevant technologies on their behalf.* Leadership and mentorship for clients and junior IT professionals* Engineering secure and scalable solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud* Administration of all business technologies, to include documentation and training* Manage client technology programs, vendor relationships, projects, and budgetsIn support of the business, I rounded out more education with Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, CompTIA Security+, Project+, and ITIL Foundations training._

Sr. Network/Systems Engineer * Technical Account ManagerUnspecified Oct 2004 - Jul 2007Denver, Colorado, United StatesMy new role led deeper into networking, systems, and telecommunications (analog, digital, and IP based) by integrating vendor systems into diverse client networking environments. The company expanded to Denver, Colorado, and I moved with them to engage in cross training with other technical teams. Clients began asking for fully engineered vendor technology solutions, and I took on a new client facing, Technical Account Manager position. My focus turned to architecting full technology solutions for SMB clients, then expanded and morphed into what we would define as Managed Services today.* Plan and perform deployments, integrations, and migrations* Design and configure cloud and on-premises technologies* Design and maintain automated support framework* Document technical and client facing processes and policies* Manage vendors, IT projects, and budgets* Provide technical support and end user trainingOver these few years, I earned the CompTIA Network+ and Microsoft Certified Professional certifications, in addition to classroom training for Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Transact SQL, and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator._
