More recently I have concentrated in Asset Management, development of property related IT application and particularly in affordable energy.I have also been a part of the process developing contract structures to procure repairs and refurbishment. Fixed price tendering, measured term contracting and more recently using partnering with output based specifications. Most recently at Circle I was involved in a competitive dialogue process to streamline and improve the delivery of all planned and reactive works across the group. Working with contractors I adopt a collaborative approach, firmly embedding the contractor’s managers in my own team and set a culture of open communication and partnership. I deal with poor performance in a way that prevents reoccurrence rather than to assign blame. The contractor is set clear objectives and is monitored to improve performance whilst retaining a tight rein on costs.
