Currently leading several New Product Introduction (NPI) cross-functional teams to address technical and business issues related to plastic injection-molded components, such as heat tolerance, form, reliability, quality and cost structures. Traveling overseas to global develop sourcing solutions and interface with suppliers to optimize part quality, cost, and delivery of both injection molding tools and molded components. Responsibilities include part and tool design for manufacturability (DFM), material selection, supplier and process development, machine selection and equipment procurement. Additionally, I develop robust quality systems aligned with HP's goals and quality metrics, and work with suppliers to uphold these standards. Much of this work to release NPI products to production is done through close collaboration with R&D, Product, and Process Engineers to create solutions through mechanical analysis, empirical testing, and material reliability assessments, including defect management, cost/benefit analysis, and performance documentation.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Engineer, I was responsible for designing and evaluating new products from an injection mold Design for Manufacturing (DFM) perspective, delivering production-ready tools to customers. The focus of the NPI processes included part design, tooling feasibility, material and machine selection based on customer requirements, and the validation of downstream processes. Gained experience in process improvement through lean manufacturing and 5S principles. Collaborated with team members at all levels, spending time on the manufacturing floor to understand and refine processes and designs.

Part of a research team at Western Washington University working alongside the C&D Zodiac R&D department to aid in the development of innovative interior aircraft designs. This included developing fixtures, tooling and test methods to test the physical aspects of aircraft components. Also included was the evaluation of aircraft materials through analyzing the curing process of resin systems, and researching new materials and processes to replace old, outdated ones.
