With a team of 5 direct reports and 39 staff, I was responsible for the total facilities and infrastructure management of Christchurch Airport including the airfield, buildings, building services, plant and equipment, utilities, and projects within Airport Campus. Key Responsibilities:• Provide advice / input and execute strategic objectives set by the Leadership Team.• Operationally and strategically manage the day-to-day running of the Facilities Services Business Unit, ensuring adequate resources are available to all stakeholders (including Airlines, Building Tenants, border agencies, aviation security, and all other Airport Campus teams).• Provide strategic input and support from a facilities perspective to all associated projects.• Develop a culture within Facilities to meet the goals of CIAL and its clients and our shareholders Christchurch City Holdings and the NZ Government.• Direct and manage cross company projects to meet CIAL goals.Achievements:• Analysis of the CIAL supply chain and making recommendations for savings and improvements.• Manage and coordinate office relocations and fit-outs for tenants both inside the terminal and for properties outside the terminal. This also included project direction for small new builds.• Proactive management of utilities (electricity, gas, diesel, water, waste, and telecommunications) to ensure service waste is minimised. This includes regular audits.• From the initial direction to outsource half the services of facilities, I successfully gained support from the Leadership team to strategically resource in-house rather than lose our intellectual property. Structure was redesigned to meet the new strategy.• Successfully mange cost down while maintaining service standards and improving profit.• Successfully establish a long term and sustainable high performance project management alliance for the management and maintenance of the critical airfield runway and taxiways assets.

Manitenance and field operation of MainPower NZ assets in North Canterbury. This included capital improvement works. Contracting directly to MainPower NZ

Manage the relationship between Transpower and Transfield Services for the Upper South Island Stations Transpower S4 contract. Full facilities and asset management. Key Responsibilities:•Manage maintenance, operations, and projects on $1Billion of assets covering 18 sub-stations and associated structures whilst managing staff in two different geographic locations.•Responsible for the distribution of industrial maintenance and projects at various other smaller companies.•Direct and manage cross company projects to meet Transfield goals.Achievements:•Improved safety statistics•Won approximately $1m of work from Orion in two months.•Significant team building achievements improving morale and productivity after inheriting a team that had been neglected due to workload issues•Project direction and construction of the $3M Ashburton substation refurbishment for Transpower.

Led and motivated an outsourced contract that was responsible for the maintenance and field operation of Meridian Energy hydro power stations (all nine) in the South Island of New Zealand. This included minor and major maintenance and capital work.Key Responsibilities:• Manage maintenance, operations, and projects with fifty two staff on $4 Billion of assets covering Manapouri, Benmore, Waitaki, Aviemore, the Tekapo Chain, and the Ohau Chain of power stations and associated control structures. Responsible to the Manufacturing Director for the coordination, development, and supply of a cost effective and timely asset management and development service primarily to the Production Manager to ensure assets are available when required for production. Secondary to this is the provision of asset management and development services to the remainder of the site support services. I have been responsible for the introduction of a shift roster system, the introduction and use of a computerised maintenance system, the introduction of standards for the ISO system, and involvement in the trades employment collective agreement negotiations. I have introduced and successfully implemented materials and service supply vendor rationalisation. My current focus is on supply chain management initiatives and Year 2000 compliance issues.I was also responsible for the recruitment, training, and discipline of my staff. I currently have 34 staff working for me. My routine operating budget is $4.0 million. I also have a capital budget to manage of upto $1.8 million.

I led a team of 14 and managed a budget of NZ$2.4M. Responsible for asset information, stores, purchasing, and condition assessment information being generated for the new EAMS
