I am a highly experienced solicitor, specialising in property investment, funding and development as well as acting for for owner occupiers. I have extensive experience in the healthcare, office, charity, retail, hotel and leisure and education sectors as well as dealing with all other general commercial real estate work. I also have considerable experience advising in the retail petroleum market and in the area of compulsory purchase in which I have acted for both acquiring authorities and affected landowners.I do also deal with high value residential and leasehold reform matters and I am regularly consulted by and advise individuals, funds, trusts, companies, charities and UK and overseas commercial and private clients on personal and business matters of a variety of natures.Prior to becoming a lawyer, I worked as a teacher, a financial adviser and I also worked in commerce for a number of years. My wide experience outside of the law enables me to offer clear pragmatic and commercial as well as legal advice in a timely cost-effective manner. I particularly enjoy creating bespoke solutions for clients to enable them to meet their objectives.Outside of law, I am chairman of two charities and a trustee of several others, a school governor and a director of the company which owns perhaps the most famous bridge club in the country! I also run my own Real Estate consultancy which can assist clients in the assembly of deals and finding suitable premises, tenants or buyers.
