Asphalt Paving & Testing* Responsible for competent roadway laydown, compaction, and density procedures. * Responsible for overall workmanship. * Assists crew foreman with day to day supervision of work crew.* Highly skilled in the operation of various pieces of grading & paving equipment such as steele drum, vibratory, & pneumatic rollers. Backhoes, trackhoes, bobcats, dozers, pavers, road wideners, front end loaders, etc....*Helps with various other jobs when manpower is shorthanded.

* Worked on a five man crew in a rock quarry responsible for stripping (digging) the soil down to the hard layer of stone underground. Then moving the soil to various locations within the quarry. Also built temporary stone roads in and out of various locations within the quarry pit for better access to materials * Operated a large trackhoe to strip soil and load trucks for transport * Drove a articulated off road hauler for transportation of soil used for building a massive berm around the quarry perimeter and to fill in areas previously mined * Operated a bulldozer to help build massive berm around quarry perimeter and construct temporary access roads * Kept log books up to date on the articulated off road haulers and performed routine maintenance on all heavy equipment used
