Provide first line supervision, guidance and work direction for the installation’s operations team, contract core crew and specialist vendors. Work alongside Maintenance Coordinator (peer relationship) to support delivery of 7-day plan for efficient execution of maintenance plans. Responsible for co-ordination of first line maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring multi skilled resource within the Operations team is utilised if available. Support appropriate communication with onshore team on tactical operational issues and threats.Work (ISSOW), including verification of Isolations and inhibits (Bypass Control Certificates) and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and timely removal. Perform emergency duties as outlined in the relevant Offshore Emergency Procedures Manual. Actively contribute to developing emergency response team competency. Support continuous improvement in system and equipment operating philosophies/procedures. Support Root Cause Analysis processes following equipment failure or losses, incorporate lessons learned and best practices. Appraisal oversight for ops team (responsibility shared with Ops Supervisor).Provide additional Control room Operator duties as required. Mentoring of Control room Operator to ensure optimisation of BS&W, flare and water Injection.Stand in cover for the Operations Supervisor when requored.

Play an integral part in the safe and efficient operation of the plant including but not limited to, oil production xmas trees, production manifolds, separators and transfer pumps. Sea water lift and water injection systems including course water filter and hypochlorite generation packages. Reciprocating screw type Gas and Air compressors including associated systems An authorised process isolator responsible for the safe isolation and reinstatement of plant equipment prior to and after maintenance work has been carried out. This includes system depressurisation and leak/pressure testing. Liaising with other departments to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner. An authorised gas tester for Vessel Entry & Hot Work permits.Carry out PMR work, fault finding and inspection of equipment to aid the operations team in meeting team goals and objectives to meet business plan requirements.Working proactively to identify areas for improvement in job planning and plant operation and also to reduce environmental impact from operations.Provide central control room operations stand-in cover for absences.Training for/and carrying out stand-in cover for Operations Coordinator (supervisory role) and Permit Authority/Area Authority, involving permit to work planning, verifying and issuing of Work Control Certificates and Isolation Control Certificates. Also planning and overseeing day to day production operations on dayshift.Trained Radiation Protection Supervisor, carrying out monitoring of fixed radioactive sources and management for safe removal and disposal of NORM.Training and mentoring of trainees/apprentices to achieve SVQ Level 3 qualification.

Experience in the application of Baker Hughes Upstream Chemicals product lines including: scale squeeze operations, fluid separation, gas treatment, and corrosion prevention. Extensive experience in bottle test methodology for the development of demulsifier and water clarifier treatment applications right through to full scale chemicla field trials. During my career I have gained valuable offshore experience. My main area of expertise has been in fluid separation on oil/gas production process and produced water treatment systems on onshore/offshore installations throughout the UK and European sectors. Troubleshooting process system problems and aiding the customer to optimise and improve these systems, both mechanically and chemically. Experience gained in liaising with the customer, to determine problems associated with their process system and the way forward to remedy, has given me strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem solving is a large part of my job and these skills have become stronger throughout my career.Offshore Production Chemist and installation laboratory managment .Training and development of junior field engineers.
