The Trinity Park Conservancy is a nonprofit working with the City of Dallas to transform a flood control channel into 210 acres of native ecology and park space in the heart of the city. As Design and Policy Associate, I worked on research and planning for how to capture the value generated by the park to promote equitable community development and sustainable urban design. I also supervised mobility planning for the park and led GIS and graphic design work across the organization.

Charlottesville, Virginia Area

Research assistant for the Urban and Environmental Planning Department. Interviewed experts in affordable housing development on community engagement practices and qualitative impact assessment. Worked with Adobe Creative Suite to illustrate research on affordable housing preservation and create materials for the Design Futures conference.

People Organizing Place department intern for a community-engaged design nonprofit. Worked on several projects including public outreach for an affordable senior housing development, policy research for a statewide disaster recovery housing program, and maintaining a GIS tool for tracking municipal legislation by neighborhood.

Dallas City Hall

Mapping intern with the City of Dallas’ urban design department. Used Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS software to create maps and briefings for use by the city manager, elected officials, private developers, and the public.
