Tenured in the Computer Science department with a joint appointment in the Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS). Lead a lab with 12+ researchers currently on payroll (PhD, MSc); PI/Co-PI on $10M+ of research funding; 6+ PhD graduates with 6+ more slated for the next 12 months.My lab sits at the intersection of machine learning and economics, with a core focus of designing incentives that promote "good" participation in complex systems. We work with organ donation, blood donation, financial markets, hiring/talent sourcing, farming/agricultural markets, logistics/shipping, combinatorial auctions and reverse auctions, rideshare, and other platform markets.We primarily publish in the core big tent ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML), core big tent AI conferences (e.g., AAAI, IJCAI, KDD), and specialty conferences in AI/ML (e.g., AISTATS, UAI), EconCS (e.g., EC, WINE, AAMAS), and trustworthy ML (e.g., FAccT, AIES).
