I am a Director at The RM2 Partnership (RM2), a dedicated share plans and employee ownership firm.We are a specialist team, providing user-friendly advice to a wide range of clients; from start-ups through to global businesses and listed PLCs. We also advise key employees and executives. We support other advisers (lawyers and accountants in particular) in advising their clients.We advise clients on the strategic, commercial, legal and tax implications of offering employees a stake in the businesses they work for – covering implementation, ongoing compliance and maturity of the arrangements. We offer a full administration service supporting our clients on regrants and vesting of awards, together with HMRC compliance and Companies House filings. My recent relevant experience includes advising:- a household name high street retailer on its new management share plans which are designed to deliver tax efficient returns on achieving certain key milestones;- an AIM listed healthcare company on senior management equity plans, using shares in its UK trading subsidiary to align the interests of shareholders and management;- a London Stock Exchange listed leisure company on its new management Long Term Incentive Plan and employee wide Company Share Option Plan;- various management shareholders acquiring shares under the (former Government backed) Employee Shareholder Scheme in my role as independent legal advisor; -
