Assistant Director of Operations (ADO) and Senior MSO Instructor/Evaluator for 745th Special Operations Squadron (SOS), RC-26 special mission formal training unit. Led 40 officers, 17 enlisted and 19 contractors that resulted in the training of 72 aircrew from ANG, USAF, USN, and AFRC. Developed and instituted Pilot/MSO Instructor Guides for rotating Instructor cadre to ensure continuity and standardization, complete with detailed instructions to all training documentation and forms, ground lecture expectations, and grading criteria. Overhauled the entire MSO syllabus, which decreased MSO flights by 20% thru additional ground training and intense part task trainers (PTT).

Chief of Training responsible for all training requirements for 9 full-time aircrew and developed first standardized training program utilized by the ANG RC-26 counter-narcotics program. The training program consisted of 6 unique syllabi, 18 academic ground training lectures, and 2 part task trainers. Instrumental in standing up the first RC-26 Formal Training Unit (FTU) in Bridgeport, WV that supported 11 detachments and trained over 150 students. Spearheaded the initial instructor cadre for Special Operations Missions and standing up the 745th provisional Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field, FL. Developed Standard Operating Procedures, special mission training syllabus, academic courseware, flying training requirements, flight checklist and in-flight guides, and student information guides.

Responsible for Quality, Process Engineering, floor layout, and determining production (manpower and budgetary) requirements. Helped meet monthly targets through process improvements and manufacturing innovation. Through the use of Kaizens (continuous improvement activities), changes in layout, and changes in process flow saved approx $1 million, created 10,000 sq. ft., and reduced work in process (WIP) to zero. Re-designed four Final Assembly lines to reduce space, improve efficiency in production and material flow, and exceed this year’s production requirements. Responsible for manufacturing operations in the Final Assembly area consisting of 250+ employees. Daily use of 6S tools to create a productive and efficient work environment. Attended Six Sigma training and several Management Courses to include Budgeting, Project Management, Consulting, Confrontation, and Coaching. Awarded Sony’s Manufacturing Innovation Award for 2001.
