As a state commercial manager, I deal with the bulk of legal matters – head contract reviews and risk analysis, head and subcontract negotiations, subcontract drafting, insurance claims management, dispute resolution, security of payment legislation, etc.I am responsible for the mentoring, training and development of Victoria’s administrators. I identify training needs, build and deliver commercial training modules.I provide support to all project teams as needed in procurement, claims, notices, contract advice, and dispute resolution.I am part of the state executive, responsible for achieving the commercial objectives in the business plan, compliance with national commercial policy and corporate procedures, and achieving yearly budgets.I assist business development and estimating through risk and opportunity reviews, preparation of contract departure tables, and drafting of clarifications
