Analyse, assess and present large volumes of documentary evidenceTravel for interviews with infected or affected witnesses, draft associated witness statementsAssist the Chair of the Inquiry and Senior Solicitors with presentation of legal researchCoordinate Paralegal colleagues in their review of witness statements and other documentsAct as liaison with Statistics Expert Group, compile digital resources for Expert GroupAssist with redaction and disclosure processes in preparation for public hearingsDraft statutory requests for information from public institutions and private individualsBuild credibility and trust with witnesses, external legal representatives and core participantsAttend seminar on effective communication and how to manage working with people in crisis or distress

Assist experienced employment and family law professionals with interviewing clients and legal adviceConduct and present legal research in a format appropriate for lawyers and clientsEnsure advice is delivered professionally and in a style relevant to its audienceBuild credibility and trust with staff and clientsStay up to date with best practise and attend seminars on employment, tenancy, and welfare law

Support the National Manager: Risk, Assurance & COI, the CRO, and other AG members as requiredPolicy - research, stakeholder consultation, drafting, proof reading and follow up reportsLegal - providing initial advice on OIA responsesData Quality - maintain Police's National Intelligence Application program, align precedents with legislationInformation Management – build relationship between Archives NZ and Police ICTReporting - use concise writing and infographics to present data in an accessible mannerAdministration - arrange travel, diary management and events, assisting auditors and/or researchers, authorising secure PNHQ access, video conferencing set-up, IT troubleshooting
