My primary focus in this position was ensuring that operational KPIs were consistently achieved my overseeing smooth daily warehouse activities. This involved leading a large team of Team Leaders, and indirectly, their teams. I managed their performance, prioritised their tasks and provided training opportunities to ensure continuous development. Site health and safety was also my responsibility. Key achievements in this position include: - Delivering significant cost reductions by leading negotiations with suppliers, including achieving a 12% cost saving by moving to a new delivery supplier - Transforming warehouse culture, turning a demotivated and underperforming unit into a focused and cohesive team - Increasing the efficiency of the warehouse and deliveries by relocating stock, ensuring fast-moving items were located near loading bays - Exceeding despatch expectations by reducing timeframes

During this time I had full accountability for 3 retail distribution depots, a budget of £2.4million and a team of 60 staff and contractors. My responsibilities included delivering management reports, monitoring KPIs, collaborating with subcontractors and driving compliance with health and safety regulations. - Spearheading continuous improvement in service levels, including overcoming issues with route planning and staffing - Taking on the worst-performing depot in the business and turning it around to achieve performance figures in line with the best performing site, including reducing the total cost per delivery from £21 to £11
