• Manage technical support requests via their propitiatory ticketing system, email, and telephone• Proactively monitor the ServInt network and infrastructure using tools such as Nagios, graphs, etc• Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) support and troubleshooting• Determine cause of high resource usage on a server, address latency issues and determine bottlenecks on a web server using tools such as top, netstat, ps and apache status and access logs• Determine slow queries running within MySQL and effectively relaying that information to developers• Troubleshoot email issues including determining source of email bounce errors, configuration of email clients such as Outlook, excessive spam, problems arising from DNS misconfiguration• Managing access via IPTables and ACLs• Set up and configure CDN such as Cloudflare. Install Cloudflare components such as mod_cloudflare and Railgun on webservers• Determine servers under a DDOS attack. Blackhole IPs of servers being attacked to prevent that server from affecting the network• Provision new customer products and services• Communicate pending or unresolved issues with members of the succeeding shift• Resolve common DNS issues and internal server errors associated with websites• Experience with setting up nameservers at most major domain registrars and configuring a server to work with those nameservers• Install third party software including content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and Magento• On occasion fixed PHP code to resolve website errors, Ability to read a script and determine where the problem is occurring• Writing troubleshooting articles for the company tech blog to help clients resolve common server issues.
