Supporting and maintaining the strategic planning of four Traffic Management control system deployments (Thameslink, York, Derby and ERTMS) on the LNE/EM Route as part of the LNE/EM Route Operating Strategy team. This also includes the upgrade of the East Midlands Control Centre to incorporate this technology.

From a career of 5 years teaching and managing in challenging scools, I joined the Operations & Customer Service Graduate Scheme.This involved undertaking placements around various functions of the Business of Network Rail and completing project work and tasks according to Business need.

Birmingham New Street

I was part of the ‘Switchover Team’ of four members that was tasked to deliver the training, briefing, communications and familiarisation plan to ready staff and a range of stakeholders for the opening of the new station concourse at Birmingham New Street Station. Our team won Railstaff and Rail awards for the effectiveness of our delivery.

I created and monitored medium term planning and strategic planning for progress over seven years of learning. I co-led on the implementation of a new English specification, which saw a 10% rise in achievement at GCSE and registering the best GCSE results of the Department.

As well as my role as an English teacher, I took on the role of Head of Media Studies. I was responsible for the planning, implementing and teaching of new specifications from AQA at GCSE and GCE levels. I monitored and evaluated pupil progress through assessment of pupils' outputs and the performance of the four teachers in my department, adding intervention strategies where appropriate.
