Most recently I have been employed as a Business Systems Analyst with Winstone Wallboards Ltd, headquartered in Penrose, Auckland. Winstone Wallboards, a subsidiary of Fletcher Building, is New Zealand's sole manufacturer of plasterboard wall and ceiling lining systems with manufacturing plants in both Auckland and Christchurch and distribution operations nation wide.My original training is in accounting and audit. I completed a bachelors degree in Commerce at Otago University in 1976. I then joined Coopers & Lybrand (a predecessor firm of PwC) in Dunedin and completed the professional work requirements to be admitted as a member of the NZ Society of Accountants (ACA) in 1979. That year I transferred overseas with Coopers and Lybrand in London, and later joined DHL Aviation in Bahrain from 1982 to 1985. In 2004 I was admitted to NZICA CA membership. My involvement in a major ERP selection and implementation project in 1999 resulted in a move across into Information Systems. Whilst responsibilities since this time have had a JDEdwards focus, seeking solutions to business issues in order to remove cost and create value for customers resulted in the selection, implementation and resultant support of a number of companion applications.In 2006, I completed a post graduate diploma in Information Systems at Auckland University. Since this time I have successfully project managed IS based change initiatives and taken responsibility for systems documentation and user training.Outside of work my main interest is volunteering for the Motutapu Restoration Trust. I currently sit on the Trust chairing the communications committee with responsibilities including digital media strategy and deliverables.
