I have worked for the past 6 years in different athletic facilities in several different positions. I began as a Lifeguard with the City or Raleigh at Pullen Aquatic Center. This is where I began to enjoy maintaining a safe environment. This ultimately led to me becoming more responsible as well as developing interpersonal skills. Following my work as a lifeguard, I became a camp counselor at Camp Mac. I have done this for 5 summers now. This continued in my development with interpersonal communication as well as developing into a leader. In the positions at Camp Mac, I would be responsible for as many as 30 campers at a time. I also led the instruction of a Major morning activity, as well as scheduling different activities and implementing new activities with the rest of the Sports Crew team. Finally, as a part of the Media Crew at Camp Mac, I would take up to 700 pictures a day as well as over an hour of video footage. This helped me with establishing goals and maintaining a timeline. I also held the position of Site Supervisor with the Club Sports program area of the Campus Recreation and Wellness department at East Carolina University. This is a higher level position within that department. As a Site Supervisor, I was once again responsible for maintaining a safe environment as well as enforcing rules for the facilities I was supervising. On top of those responsibilities, I was also more often then not the only staff member present while supervising up to 5 teams during their practice. This also included upkeep of the facilities in which I worked. Finally, following my Sophomore year at ECU, I moved back to Raleigh in order to gain some better working experience. This began with becoming a Front a Desk Associate at Fitness Connection. In this position, I would regularly interact with several hundred members on a daily basis. In this customer service-centric position, I would also occasionally have to deal with account issues, such as collecting outstanding balances, updating billing information, and answering any questions the customer may have regarding their account or the gym. Following three months in that position, I was promoted to the Fitness Consultant position. This position mostly deals with membership sales and lead generation. The daily goals include contacting 150 potential members as well as collecting up to 35 referrals on a daily basis. This also includes supplement sales as well as developing a rapport with potential members and gaining knowledge of them and their situation to use as leverage to convert them to actual members.
Listed skills include Photography, Videography, Film Editing, Microsoft Office, and 4 others.
