Current• Tested and implemented the new marketing analysis reporting system known as MARS, helping stakeholders use, download, and maneuver our database by using API’s to quickly use our data more efficiently and effectively.• Through API implementation on the National Feeder and Stockers Cattle Summary I turned 6 hours of work for 3 reporters into 20 minutes for 1 reporter, taking away the human error when physically converting data points.• Daily study and monitoring of market reports from grain merchandizing companies to evaluate and analyze supply, demand, and prices of the data collected.• Collect, compile, analyze and disseminate information concerning market conditions that impact demand, quality, price, condition and movement of livestock, feedstuff, meat, hay, and grain.• Tasked with collecting and preparing information for the Weekly National Grain Market Review and relaying current market trends to directly aide producers, consumers, and distributers in the selling and purchasing of grain. • Compile, disseminate and ensure the timely release of accurate market information on multiple market reports such as the Nebraska Rural Elevators, Omaha-Council Bluffs Grain, Kansas City Grains, Soybean Processor reports covering Indiana, Ohio and Iowa.• Work daily with local Kansas City radio stations to disseminate the current market prices of corn, soybeans, wheat, and sorghum. • Monitor and evaluate collected data for accuracy of contradictory or false information and advise supervisors on complex issues. • Assist senior market reporters on a weekly basis in grading livestock at the St. Joseph Stockyard for slaughter/replacement and feeder cattle auctions.• Efficiently and effectively communicating both orally and in writing quantitative analysis of the grain market.• Resolve complaints from customers who need clarification on grain reports and work closely with supervisors to implement new procedures.
