• Responsible for the delivery of major Refurbishment Projects Nationwide from conception to completion. • Producing costed Schedules for Board Approval ranging in costs from Circa £350K to £1.2M. • Refurbishments cover Frail Elderly Units, Dementia, YPD and Challenging Behaviour• I am responsible for managing the Construction Contract on Bupa’s behalf to ensure its successful delivery and providing all necessary administration to enable this to take place.• I act as a single point of contact to manage the information flow between all Bupa Staff/ Project Stakeholders and Contactors/Professional support contacts, to ensure all required information by both parties is provided within the agreed overall programme timescales.• I chair regular meetings between Bupa and external Contractors/Suppliers ensuring accurate, professional minutes are produced within agreed timelines.• I provide regular monthly reports on each Project (possibly 8/10 running at one time) to a level of quality which ultimately will be viewed at Board level.• I am tasked with providing strategic support to my Departmental Head in regard to alternative courses of action and to constantly challenge existing working practices to highlight and recommend improvements where required, • I am responsible for ensuring that there is no breach of statutory regulations In relation to Health & Safety, Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, CDM Regulations and any other regulations relevant to the construction/refurbishment of Residential Health Care properties e.g. CQC.

This was a home based role, reporting to Head of Development. Here I was responsible for reviewing all maintenance, contracts and Contractors performance and in addition introducing new Contracts. My role consisted of procuring and overseeing the installation and monitoring of an external maintenance “Hotline” Budget of £2.5M. During my time here I was voted Restaurant “Hero of the Month” March 2006. Moreover, I was managing projects from design drawings and statutory approvals stage and from Conception through to successful handover. Operations values would consist of values between £70K > £350K.

Home Based

This was home based, reporting to Burger King HQ on as need basis. Solely responsible for the procuring & delivering of the Burger King Capex Programme for the whole of the UK. Budget were £1.0M and supervising all F M and Maintenance Contracts.

During this home based I was managing Projects throughout the UK, reporting to the Departmental Director and HQ on an as need basis I was responsible for delivering refurbishment, renovation and revision and fit out projects to time, cost and quality targets. Project costs ranged between £40K>£400K.

• Responsible for the Procurement and delivery of cost effective maintenance arrangements.• Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the following budgets:• Repairs Fixtures & Fittings @ £5.5m• Replacement Capex @ £6.5m • Maintenance Revenue @ £2.2m • Management of MTM and non- MTM contracts via Repairs Helpdesk.• Managing 10 Maintenance Managers Nationwide (circa 1100 outlets).• Successful in raising the level of performance of contractors and consultants by operating• KPI’S and an “Improvement or Removement” policy.

Project cost exclusive of site @ £1.2m.Delivering customer service with particular emphasis on snag free handovers.

• Recruited to establish a Building Surveying Service and develop the Project Management Team.• Acted as Commissioned Consultant for Birmingham Urban Renewal Initiative and Sandwell MBC working as Project Manager to ensure that program was achieved on time and to budget.• In the role of Clients Representative ensured that the Developers requirements were met on the Waterfront Office Development at Merry Hill, West Midlands, overseeing Architects, Surveyors, Contractors etc.• Project / Estate Managed outlets for Daniel Batham & Son Ltd. The alteration and refurbishment completed at The Vine, Brierley Hill received a CAMRA Award for its “Sensitive Treatment”.
