John has been employed in the information technology field for more than 30 years, with a focus since 2004 on digital forensics including investigations, electronic data collection and cybersecurity.John has extensive knowledge of the inner workings of computer hardware, operating systems, file systems, software and cyber technologies. He is well versed in the identification, preservation, collection, processing, and analysis of computer-related evidence as well as design, administration, and support of information systems. He has led more than 300 investigations involving digital evidence in matters concerning trade secrets, intellectual property, fraud, employment, and computer misuse. He has also lead thousands of data collection projects from a wide range of sources for various matters.He provides training on digital forensics to attorneys for continuing legal education (CLE) credit and is a frequent speaker and author. John is also a licensed Private Investigator in Texas.John has served as a court-appointed neutral expert and as an expert witness and has testified on numerous occasions in State and Federal courts.
