I am a self-employed Industrial Electrical Supervisor / Inspector and a National Construction Safety Officer with Project Management experience. My HSE training will add to my international experience in Project Management and as an Industrial Electrician. Over the last 35 years I have worked throughout much of the world as a Electrical Supervisor. My experience includes:- 5 years as an Electrical / Instrumentation Inspector on Major Oil & Gas Projects- Mining (K+S, Potash Corp of Saskatchewan, Mosaic, Cameco) - Pipeline Compressor / Pumper Stations - TransCanada, Enbridge)- Oilfield Maintenance & Construction (Nexen - Yemen)- Petrochemical Construction (Husky, Suncor, Syncrude)- Drilling Rigs (NDIL Romania, Colombia, Libya, Kuwait, Iraq)- Power Generation ( Sask Power, Atco-Power)- Heavy Industrial (Stelco, Dofasco)- Large Commercial & Residential Projects (Canada and the Cayman Islands)Skills:It seems like a natural progression that I obtain my accreditation as a Safety Officer. The health, safety, and equitable treatment of coworkers has long been paramount in my work ethic. This attitude has been instrumental in creating an environment which values all those involved. I have often asked other supervisors to give me the people they no longer wish to have on their crews and, before long, these same people have become very productive individuals. Incumbent in this philosophy are strong communication skills, a willingness to give people a chance, and a desire to work with others, regardless of cultural and ethnic differences. My title may be "Supervisor" but my role is "Cheerleader." Positive reinforcement, a sense of humour, and a sincere appreciation of all those involved are the factors which, by themselves, make me a strong candidate for any international project management position.
