After the purchase of Filofax, I was retained by Rediform to help oversee the integration of new product lines and retail channels through a two year transition period.• Personally directed all product and field training for sales and customer service staffs. Also trained and assisted in the direction of both the Brand Manager and Marketing Support Staff. Achieved the highest growth of any division within the company.• Committed company to attend key bookstore and gift trade shows, generating 175 new accounts (25 % increase) in two years. Among the key national accounts opened were Hudson News, Zulily, and The Smithsonian Institute.• Assumed sole responsibility for managing declining Collegiate Sales area. In first year, opened 35 new accounts and grew existing sales 18% in key accounts such as University of Wisconsin, USC, and The Savannah College of Art and Design.

One year after Filofax had obtained distribution rights for Lamy Pens and Letts of London diaries, I was hired to reorganize the sales force and assumed primary responsibility for the development of the new brands in the US. My direct reports included 8 company sales people, 8 independent manufacturer’s representatives, Brand Manager, Customer Service Manager, and 4 Customer Service representatives.• Grew combined sales of Lamy and Letts from $1.5M to $5M.• Gained product placement with key retailers such as Neiman Marcus, The Container Store, and Papyrus.• Assisted in the development of e-commerce platform that grew from $0 to over $2,000,000 in sales.• Introduced cross selling strategy that increased percentage of accounts selling all three major brands from 18% to 55%.• Developed new account bonus program for sales force that helped grow account base from 350 to over 1000.• Reduced overall sales and advertising expenses by more than 15%, while increasing sales every year.• Developed cost savings obsolescence program with TJX.

Eastern Regional Sales manager/National Duty Free ManagerAs company transitioned from direct sales force to manufacturer’s representatives, I was hired to train and manage new sales staff, most of whom had no prior experience in the product category. This group was comprised of 5 area managers, 2 field product managers, and 28 sales representatives. • Grew sales from base of $25M to over $30M in 2002. Achieved the highest sales volume in any region for three consecutive years.• Assumed additional responsibility of National Duty Free Manager in 2001. Increased sales 250% in first year , creating a new channel of Diplomatic Duty Free Stores.• Established program with Service Merchandise that generated more than $1M in annual sales.• Concentrating primarily on gift and lifestyle channels, I was able to develop more than $2,000,000 in new distribution, exceeding all other sales regions combined.
