Selected above peers to be a Section Sergeant, responsible for 15 soldiers during combat operations in Iraq, Jan 2009-Jan 2010. Supervised reconnaissance operations in Afghanistan, responsible for 15 soldiers, May 2011-Oct 2011. Entrusted with over $2,895,000 worth of equipment in last position held. Instructed soldiers in classes greater than 30 on the utilization of small arms, the fundamentals of reconnaissance, demolition, maneuvering combat vehicles, and combat operations. Motivated Soldiers to complete missions in the harshest conditions. Skillfully operated an assortment of tracked and wheeled vehicles to include the Bradley M3A3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, M109A6 Paladin, 1151 HMMWV, RG33 MRAP, and Max Pro MRAP. Tended to 25 Head of Longhorn Bovines and 2 horses. Maintained fence lines, pastures, and farm equipment. Maneuvered farm tractors, large trucks with livestock trailers and various power tools. Transported cattle, hay, and equipment in and out of town. Aided in the construction and repairs of shelters for cattle, housing on the ranch, and storage barns. Preserved pastures by moving cattle in order for the pasture to regrow properly. Ensured roads on property were negotiable by operating a large box blading and front-end loader. Helped to facilitate the planting and irrigation of a 20 acre pecan orchard.

Assisted in a variety of tasks to include everything from everyday maintenance to full scale remodeling of Church Buildings. Ensured all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC were maintained and in proper working order. Planned and assisted in the construction of a small garden and porch for the church rectory.
