This role does rely on heavy communications within Jira and also using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint technologies to share best development practices and ideas for our latest projects. I use Microsoft C#, .Net and WPF to help create solutions for the main business practice. At Eddyfi Technologies we develop leading edge NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) hardware that are used for testing deformities and failures in metalwork. Primarily in the energy sector. At the current time of writing, I am part of a team working on our latest floor mapping system for scanning storage tank floors. This involves a fully in-house custom-made scanner using MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) to measure where the issues will be as the scanner goes over them. I am involved with the development of the user interface on the onboard touchscreen display that operators use. However, my main duties have been to help build and debug the data acquisition reporting software. So, all the information collected from this floor map scanner can be interpreted into a maintenance and repair report for the swiftest possible repairs to the assets that have been scanned. This has been a steep learning curve away from my comfort zone of my previous role, but one that I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of and challenging myself with. Show less

Having to cross check all of the data published and ensure that the college complies with data protection laws and that roles and permissions are administered correctly across the board and meet all of our service level agreement targets. My role in our Disaster Recovery process, helping set up mirrored services at our 2nd Campus using Always on Availability and making certain that our processes for transaction logging are current. I am currently in charge of our Office 365 and SharePoint 2013 rollout. My position was heading the Analysis, Design and Programming of a new project I have codenamed MEPOS (Mobile Electronic Point Of Sale). Using a mixture of skills to oversee the project, from Object Orientated Design and Analysis, N-Tier Database design, SQL, Borland Delphi and the necessary Management Skills. I had overseen the entire program life cycle as of my leaving.

At Haven Systems Ltd. for the period employed I was placed in charge of the Millennium testing and debugging operation. This involved line-by-line code interrogation keeping within the strict house coding rules. I was also given smaller projects to manage and develop solutions for along side this task. One using a hand held barcode scanner for data collection. I was also involved in the end user training of our products.
