My role has been to help organize and document in-person and online consultation meetings with civil society organizations CSOs), affected.

Provide part-time consultancy service in managing the CIF Observers Program which brings together representatives from civil society, indigenous peoples, and private sector to participate in decision-making meetings of the CIF. Also provide support in organizing outreach meetings to diverse stakeholders worldwide, undertaking studies, and preparing.

Provided part-time consultant services from 2017 to 2024 to two independent complaints mechanism at the World Bank Group: Inspection Panel (IPN) and the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO). My role was to expand engagement to civil society organizations (CSOs) worldwide through policy dialogue and strategic outreach events, as well as raise the visibility.

• Served as senior consultant to two units within the IDB: Civil Society Team and Independent Investigation and Consultation Mechanism (MICI).
• Helped the Civil Society Team research, draft, and consult on a new engagement strategy geared to strengthening IDB Group’s relations with civil society in Latin America.
• Helped MICI enhance its relations with CSOs in Latin America, expanded communications efforts, and established a multi-stakeholder external consultative group.

Taught an undergraduate course on Brazilian history, culture, and international relations. I also worked with the Brazil Initiative within the Elliott School for International Affairs to organize numerous symposiums and brown-bag lunches on Brazilian issues.

• Worked for 20 years within the World Bank Group in several contexts:
• At the Inspection Panel during 2015, I helped improve relations with CSOs in developing countries through regional and national outreach meetings, and amplified the visibility of the Panel through a proactive.
• As the head of the Global Civil Society Team in Washington from 2005 - 2014, I played an important role in improving the institution’s relations with global civil society. Activities included advising senior Bank.
• While serving at the Brasilia Office from 1996 - 2001, I played pioneering role in establishing relations with diverse and vibrant civil society sectors (e.g. NGOs, labor unions, and social movements), facilitated CSO.
