Support data migration efforts; analyze PACS databases; develop scripts to extract data from various PACS systems; assess, validate and configure virtual machines in support of data migration efforts; and any other duties as assigned

PACS Data migration

• Extensive Sybase experience with performance and tuning of large databases including server tuning, index defragmentation and optimization and server platform upgrades.• Extensive database replication experience between data centers for high availability and no downtime.• Supported multiple data center moves such as UCLA Hospitals moving their standby data center from Los Angeles to San Diego.• Developed and implemented server upgrades with 20 times faster performance.• Advised large, critical customers and sales teams on system upgrades to maximize performance per dollar invested (Stanford, Brigham & Women’s, UCLA, Moffitt, Univ. of PA, University of WA and other critical sites).• Internally within GE completed a data center move scheduled for 3 weeks of downtime in a single weekend with no downtime.• Supported hospitals worldwide for the PACS product lines. • Multi-platform support including VM, SAN, HP, Dell of various generations and models.• Resolved countless critical hospital problems worldwide including performance problems caused by data migration teams and storage recovery.
