His focus is on driving innovation and transformational change through collaboration to ensure that the Water market delivers on its commitments to customers. With a honors degree in Mechanical Engineering, John worked for Thames Water for over 20 years in a wide variety of roles, leading teams of up to 350 people in both technical and operational areas. John was responsible for setting up Thames Water’s Energy and Carbon Management function and was recognised by the Carbon Trust as a ‘Pathfinder’ organisation demonstrating leadership in Carbon management and reporting. After five years leading this area of the business, John led the development of the companies Opex Business Plan. John was also responsible for the programme management of the preparations for the retail water Market Opening in April 2017.
