The second employee of Barclays in Canada, I was responsible for establishing the Capital Markets presence for the bank in Canada. Over my 6+ years with the bank, we grew the FX business to a number 2 ranking in market share in Canada, and ranked in the top 3 in service quality. I was eventually given responsibility for all Macro Products in Canada.In addition I sat on the Operating Committee for Barclays Canada, and was a member of the Canadian Foreign Exchange Committee, chaired by the Bank of Canada

Hired from my MBA program to join the FX Options Trading desk in Toronto I took on progressively more senior roles, eventually being transferred to the UK to head up the FX Sales and Trading business. We turned the business around from loss-making to profitability with significant revenue contribution to the global FX business.
