Tracked legislative and regulatory activity pertaining to the plastics industry; identify emerging issues; distill activity into oral and written reports for association staff and membership. Developed content for publication in PLASTICS communications tools, to include newsletters, web site, association blog and issue scorecards. Attend hearings and other meetings, draft written summaries and reports for staff and membership. Coordinate in-house meetings on government affairs activities. Researched and prepare regular, specialized issue reports for association’s Public Policy Committee and membership generally. Coordinate meetings, teleconferences and meeting minutes of PLASTICS' Public Policy Committee. Serves as lobbyist on association priorities. Initiate and execute meetings with policy makers (legislative and regulatory); staff issue-based coalition meetings.Disseminate, track and report on responses to grassroots alerts. Facilitated PLASTICS events around the country, including member facility tours with policy makers. Assisted in development and administration of fundraising programs to expand member giving to PLASTICS-PAC, the plastics industry’s political action committee. Tracked relevant internal activities, and prepare regular reports to ensure organization’s compliance with the federal Lobby Disclosure Act.
