Currently, I am a third year graduate student working towards my PhD in Chemical Engineering. My work involves the design and development of a spatial atomic layer deposition system with a focus on scalability. Experimental data is combined with COMSOL multiphysics modeling to improve its design. Intended applications include: nanolaminate optical filters, electron/hole transport layers and encapsulation of perovskite solar cells. My long term interest is to apply my knowledge of atomic layer deposition to the development of solar energy, contributing to the need for renewable energy sources. Outside of academia, I am involved in community organizations, an avid outdoorsman, and rugby player.
