Performed studies on multireaction equilibria to determine how equilibrium conversions for the reductive-amination reaction were affected by reactor operating parameters. Catalyst Degradation Study - Performed fluidization studies for pilot plant and plant reactors. Developed programs to estimate minimum fluidization velocities for plant reactors. The program estimates were tested by experimental reactor runs, which yielded operating parameters to minimize catalyst degradation. Reactor Parameter Optimization - Performed a catalyst study and parameter optimization for the ethanolamine process for the Plant in Conroe, TX. Performed a study on three-phase flow. Constructed and operated a glass column with bead packing. Analyzed various gas and liquid velocities to study the effects and model three-phase flow.
