Dr. Horsman’s primary academic purpose is to assist in the calling forth of servant-leaders, and helping promote the principles and philosophy of servant-leadership in organizational and societal development both locally and globally. This is in part realized through teaching, relating and modeling done through both online and face to face courses in the Masters of Organizational Leadership (ORGL) at Gonzaga University. A more recent endeavor is the creation of the Servant-leader Concentration within the ORGL program. The Concentration, based in the writings of Robert K. Greenleaf, Larry Spears and other authors, consists of four courses within the theme of Servant-leadership. As the coordinator of the Concentration Dr. Horsman assisted in the development of 4 of the 5 courses that focus on the principles of Servant-leadership; listening, healing, foresight, community, and personal and organizational transformation.His dissertation was on Servant-leadership and Spirit in Organizations.
