Managed all operations of 2 unique properties in the park system, an 800-acre historic farm (Muscoot Farm) and a 234-acre arboretum under development. Oversaw operational and capital budgets, sales revenue, construction, programming, staffing, park maintenance, and historic preservation. Liaison to Friends of Lasdon and of Muscoot Farm.• Oversaw transformation of a private estate into Lasdon Park, encompassing woodlands, meadows and formal gardens with flower and shrub specimens from all over the world. • Directed 3 capital funding projects at Muscoot Farm in second year after taking over management, including repairing barns.• Improved natural resource management and maintenance of grounds, by training staff in horticultural techniques and establishing a culture of stewardship and pride.• Ensured development and delivery of engaging, historically-accurate, and educational programming for the public, students and special interest groups.• Guided management and preservation of native flora and fauna, and extensive collections at both locations including plants and historic artifacts.• Built positive relationship with the Muscoot Farm Advisory Board after they took over responsibilities from Friends of Muscoot Farm.
