Responsible for the overall management of the library and archive collections of the Royal Society of NSW.

I served as President of the Society from 2007 to 2012 and previously in 1994. The Vice-President role is part of the Society's Executive and assists the Society's Council to extend it's reach and to promote its aims and objectives. Until April 2015 I was the chair of the Society's Events Committee responsible for conceiving and implementing our innovative, top-level speakers program for the year.Visit the Society's website at royalsoc.org.au.

Working in the Office of the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, I was responsible for the efficient implementation of two key components of the University’s Culture Strategy – the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence and the Payne-Scott Professorial Distinctions. Management for the University’s Academic Workloads Monitoring Committee and support for the administration of the University’s examination processes and its 150+ Centres.

Responsible for the research into and analysis of current practices in higher education in relation to the implementation of Graduate Qualities or graduate attributes in the undergraduate curriculum, with a particular reference to the measurement of their attainment by students.

Coordinate and assist Faculties in the University of Sydney to embed the University's Graduate Qualities in all its curricula. The role is one of facilitation and enablement. It includes design and development of supporting resources, consultation and communication.

Helping the Faculty of Health Sciences embed the University's new Graduate Qualities in the entire curriculum. Set up and manage a Peer Review of Teaching program in the Faculty.

The TAFE eLearning Hub was disbanded at the end of 2013. During its three years of fruitful activity it supported TAFE NSW with eLearning services, particularly in the areas of teacher capability, learning design and knowledge sharing. One of my major roles was in knowledge sharing. I managed the implementation of SharePoint and Wordpress sites for the eHub and used Teamsite to help maintain the TAFE Training and Educational Support component of the TAFE NSW intranet.I also had a role in progressing knowledge sharing and the use of technology in TAFE NSW's Higher Education courses.in the latter part of my time there I coordinated the successful TAFE Connects program which used Adobe Connect technology to create weekly, state-wide, live, interactive knowledge sharing sessions centred on the ways in which TAFE NSW teachers used existing and emerging technology to enhance their teaching.Other work centred on the use of Moodle technology to create Communities of Practice for TAFE NSW teachers around current technology-based teaching topics.

The Centre for Learning Innovation has now been replaced by the NSW Curriculum and Learning Innovation Centre and the TAFE eLearning Hub. The latter formed at the end of January 2011.

Managed the operations of the Burwood, Hornsby, Newcastle and Rural NSW AMEP Region in NSW AMES. I was part of the organisation’s Executive Management team that successfully negotiated NSW DET’s contract with the Commonwealth for the delivery of the Adult Migrant English Program in three of the five NSW AMEP Regions. I successfully led the Region as the top-performing Region in the NSW DET consortium by externally audited KPIs, negotiating appropriate client expectations of the Commonwealth’s contractual requirements for the AMEP program.

The Open Training and Education Network, OTEN, is the largest provider of distance education and vocational training in Australia. OTEN is part of the award winning TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute, national winner of the 2010 Large Training Provider and 2011 Skills for Sustainability at the Australian Training Awards. It offers world-class distance education services and products to more than 80,000 students in over 200 TAFE NSW courses. These courses give its graduates nationally recognised qualifications through the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). These qualifications are highly valued by industry and the wider community both in Australia and internationally.

Managed the development of distance and open learning courses across a variety of vocational areas.

Edited the five Transactions of the Institution of Engineers Australia, as it then was, and the Australian Geomechanics Journal.
