Advanced technology leadership through the proposal and specification of innovative new wireless system solutions. Specifics include:- Most recently (2023-2024) as a "Principal technical leader" focused on both proposing new MN SW features concepts (e.g. one major idea went commercial in 2023), and proposing new ideas for 5G Advanced and 6G, with over a dozen patents filed in late 2023 / early 2024 (RAN1,RAN2,RAN3,SA2).- From 2018 to ~2022, lead teams (of 10+ people) in the proposal, and specification of key large (top several) mobile network features for our customers, while contributing many new (and patentable) aspects to the solutions now implemented. - In 2016-2018 was team leader, for numerous engineers across a range of areas, where we specified the complete solution for ~5 of our largest new mobile network customer features, while contributing many new (and patentable) aspects to the solutions adopted. These features were then implemented using these specifications. - Led the innovation team which won a top 3 award in Nokia Innovation Award (among 100+ entries), and the top award among the 12 CTO projects at the Nokia Innovation Day.- Earned “Inventor of the Year” award in 3 of 4 years (2012/13, 2013/14. and 2015/16)- ~50 new first patents were funded and filed by Nokia/NSN during 5 years.- Presented to numerous customers and analysts as a subject matter and innovation expert. - Created solutions impacting UL and DL capacity/coverage, security, location, application optimization, NFV, IoT, caching, navigation, voice, video, and others. - Authored numerous standards contributions and ecosystem proposals, while collaborating across both continents and functional areas.

- Held increasing levels of responsibility. Hired as a Lead Engineer. Then became a Senior Staff Engineer. Promoted to a Principal Staff Engineer/Distinguish Member of Technical Staff E-12, and then to the level of Distinguish Member of Technical Staff “E-13.”- Led dozens of teams in the creation of over 100 patents (granted/allowed by the USPTO as novel), and numerous standards contributions, features and customer presentations.- Led, proposed, and patented fundamental aspects of wireless solutions including those for LTE, PTT (push to talk) and public safety.- Drove 4G standards, authoring numerous accepted contributions and winning multiple “VP” level awards for creating major product organization benefits.- Won IEEE Best Paper Award in 2008 with one co-author, for application modeling conclusions that were used externally with “all” customers, and which were then adopted by analysts.- Authored/co-authored more than 15 other external publications.

• Developed some and verified all of a digital signal processing algorithm which scans in real time over 6,000 voice channels for the appearance of facsimile messages. A comb filter, a radix-3 FFT and other signal processing techniques were used. • Wrote and tested the necessary micro code which ran simultaneously on six separate ADI-DSP 21020 chips. • Cut 25% off the application's projected run time.

• Tested different configurations of routers, gateways, and packet switching nodes for their associated throughput rates and delays. • Created hundreds of graphs and tables for a project studying router performance under varying conditions.

• Designed, assembled and tested a path stabilized interferometer. • Assisted in the designing of a fiber optic interferometer. • Aligned and used an in plane/out of plane interferometer.

• Developed the FORTRAN, C and Assembly Language code for a prototype holographic/infrared image processing package which was marketed as a part of a nondestructive testing unit. • Built several prototype boards for an ultrasonic correlator.
