Wrapping up QRadar technical review and remediation project. My role was to conduct a thorough QRadar deployment review, document and report my findings, devise remediation strategies for various issues, then collaborate with relevant teams to implement approved improvements and corrective changes. I deepened my Splunk knowledge, and I am preparing for Splunk and QRadar certifications. I also had opportunities for additional exposure to cloud, terraform, python scripting, and more.

The Graylog Illuminate SIEM team included a teammate from LogRhythm consulting, another came from government service with deep Splunk experience, and I was selected for my enterprise background and QRadar knowledge. Together we designed and built a new SIEM application using insights and experience gained from our collective experience and active customer input and feedback.

Transferred from CPChem to serve as the LTI P66 SOC L1 Team Lead and Offshore Liasson. Role was to handle day-to-day oversight and integration of the on-site analysts and 8-10 offshore security operations team members. I performed all technical and team lead functions from hands-on support and incident investigation to creating playbooks and reporting team progress and security summaries to P66 management.

CPChem gave me another opportunity to evolve my career with a focus on SIEM, IdM, SSO, and Security Operations. In addition to a greenfield QRadar deployment that I was privileged to build from scratch. I was fortunate enough to work with PingFederate, Azure, Office 365, Websense, CA Identity Manager, Palo Alto firewalls, and Salesforce.

Joining the small Framework & Architecture Team at EDS gave me my first experience in GRC. This role built upon my hands-on technical experience and gave me opportunities to be mentored in governance and risk by seasoned team members. My roles at EDS focused on interpretation of Security Policy to perform Risk Assessments, create Control Standards, and lead a variety of technical teams through the process of getting their solutions certified with EDS Security Compliance requirements. I also supported a variety of projects with technical issues, implementation, and one-off solutions during my years with EDS.

I was one of two Microsoft SMEs recruited to build a hosted managed service on Exchange server to complement the company's IBM Notes managed offerings. We built a load balanced, high availability, system as a proof of concept with plans to scale up for an enterprise market.
