Based on government experience investigating and prosecuting cyber crime, and starting new initiatives to help companies assess the extent of the damage as a result of theft of confidential information, I was brought into Ernst & Young to create and execute a new offering called Cyber Due Diligence. This innovative, market-leading offering combines the disciplines of cybersecurity and data privacy to allow clients to understand their biggest risks, in the fast-paced and uncertain transaction environment. Ernst & Young’s offering, through a variety of methods such as targeted interviews, dark web research, and network testing, lets companies quickly spot and mitigate risks in target companies. I have led the creation of a team of 30 professionals with an approximate revenue of $10 million annually. My own certifications achieved include GISP, CIPP-US, CIPP-E and ITIL Foundations, among others.

Supervisory Special Agent in the Cyber Division of the FBI. Received SANS Institute GISF (General Information System Fundamentals) certification in July, 2014. Most recent duties involved coordinating U.S. government response to cyber theft of money and intellectual property from U.S. victims. As a result of an initiative I created in March 2013, in September of 2014 I received the Director's Award for Outstanding Cyber Investigation.

Federal prosecutor, responsible for prosecutions of all variety of federal crimes. Examples of cases I prosecuted include a 24-defendant, multi-million dollar international identity theft and internet tax fraud conspiracy; a Medicare fraud case against a suburban hospital Director of Pharmacy; a corrupt Cook County law enforcement officer; a federal gun case resulting in a 20-year sentence for the defendant; the ringleader of an armored car heist crew, who received 23 years' imprisonment; and various other fraud, narcotics and violent crimes.

As a Special Agent, I successfully investigated several high-profile fraud and corruption cases. I was the case agent for the Hired Truck city hall corruption case, which the Chicago Sun-Times described as possibly "the most significant investigation of City Hall corruption ever in Chicago." (November 6, 2005 article, "How Far Will It Go?") The case resulted in the indictment of 49 people, and produced major, long-standing reforms in the city's hiring process, strengthened the city's Inspector General's Office, and resulted in the abolition of a $40 million per year trucking program. Received the Director's Award for Investigative Excellence, the Executive Office of the United States Attorney's Award for Outstanding Litigative Team, and the Federal Executive Board's Award for Outstanding Law Enforcement Team. I delivered anti-corruption training presentations at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Hungary, the City of Chicago Inspector General's Office, and the Department of Justice's National Advocacy Center. Other examples of successful, complex investigations include convictions of Rod Blagojevich's first Campaign Finance Chairman, and corrupt Chicago Police officers John L. Smith and Mario Morales.
