A transport planning and marketing professional with wide experience across a range of transport modes, including the analysis of service operation and option development, and an in-depth knowledge of IT systems.- Extensive experience in the application of information technology and marketing techniques to data analysis and system development.- Experience of option development and service planning across a range of public transport modes.- An understanding of rail industry data and demand forecasting tools.- Detailed understanding of revenue measurement and allocation issues. Experience in cost allocation and forecasting.- Considerable practical experience in survey design, planning, management, execution, analysis, and reporting.- Wide experience in database design and development; including specification, programming and implementation of microcomputer systems, both within the UK and overseas.- Extensive freight experience, with particular expertise in rail freight, including marketing, operations and forecasting for domestic and international traffic.- Experience in stakeholder liaison, public and industry consultation, and detailed negotiation with outside parties including Government Departments, Local Authorities, rail infrastructure owners, train operators, Regulatory authorities, and other professional advisers.
