Worked as a volunteer with a Cambodian Non-Government Organisation, providing advice and administrative assistance in helping the team achieve its goals for improving the lives of impoverished people, predominantly in remote rural villages in Siem Reap Province. Role involved living in Siem Reap for 15 months plus ongoing provision of support over internet. HR Business Partnering is a key area that has responsibility for understanding business drivers, challenges and needs to build a capable and engaged workforce to enable the business to deliver on strategic objectives. As an HR Consultant, I am responsible for contributing to the overall success of this function.My role is to enable the Senior Leadership Team by supporting the senior leaders with workforce insights and initiatives, translating business requirements, coaching, delivery of HR and business initiatives. The role provides operational support to deliver on workforce initiatives.

Responsible for ensuring that the framework within which people are employed by the organisation is robust and meets the needs of the organisation and its people. Direct management of Payroll and Learning & Development teams.Key accomplishments:• Developed a high degree of trust with managers and employees as the sole provider of human resource advice and service in an organisation of approximately 460 employees. • Successfully recruited professional and management staff into a range of positions. This sometimes included the need to manage immigration approval processes.• Significantly increased employee participation in benefit scheme that provided real increase in employees’ take home pay with no cost to the organisation. The improved benefit to employees was a driver of reduction in employee turnover attributed to remuneration.• Successfully negotiated new Enterprise Agreement, combining two expiring agreements into a single agreement that also incorporated changes introduced by the Award Modernisation process. Three Unions were involved along with a committee of nine employees.• Zero negative outcomes for complaints to Fair Work Commission arising from employment practices.• Oversaw improvements in payroll processing that led to significant decrease in employee complaints regarding errors.• Implemented employee survey process that showed employee view of organisation improved significantly over time.
