Responsible for planning and procurement of sheet metal, machined parts, die castings, PCBA’s, thermal ribbons, media, sub-contract parts, injection molded plastic, indirect materials/services, packaging, electronic components and fasteners representing $1.75M in annual spend.• Responsible for outside material processing (Grinding, Heat Treating, Machining, Plating).• Negotiate and maintain blanket purchase orders to ensure a continuous supply at the most economical price.• Manage RFQ process and evaluation as well as supplier selection, incoming inspection and issuance of materials to the production line.• Support New Product Development including formulation of strategies to achieve product cost targets and transition of design from development to production.• Maintain critical balance between material supply and demand utilizing various material planning strategies, MRP system controls/features, Direct Ship Program, JIT and Kanban methodologies. • Ownership of supplier relationships including negotiations, business reviews, reporting of monthly metrics, lead-time management and material delivery requirements. • Process rejected material, work with quality and supplier to identify root cause and corrective action.• Timely resolution of shortage and excess inventory situations.• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues.• Negotiate favorable payment terms.• Coordinate the sale of excess equipment and components to maximize recovery dollars.• Manage all aspects of ECN coordination and implementation with suppliers and production to ensure material availability and appropriate management of potential material excess.

Coordinated the procurement of all commodities in support of manufacturing and plant maintenance.Responsible for purchasing plate, angle, flat bar, channel, wide flange beams, round bar, pipe, tubing, stainless steel, aluminum, castings, forgings, electric panels and control boards.
