John is the founder and CEO of The Global Law Group, PLC, a boutique law firm headquartered in Northern Virginia in the outskirts of Washington, D.C. providing proactive expertise to foreign and U.S. clients in today’s challenging, but lucrative, global marketplace. Prior to forming his firm in 2002, Mr. Huddle organized and chaired the international practice group of a national law firm, and he was a shareholder and Director in that firm.In his 37 years of practice, Mr. Huddle has represented a diverse group of non-U.S. and U.S. clients in regard to international transactions and business law matters. His U.S. practice is national in scope. His foreign clients hail from a wide range of countries, and his representation extends in some cases to lead international counsel on a global basis. He was appointed Chair of the Virginia-Washington, D.C. DEC from 2005-2009, and his appointment to the DEC has been successively renewed thereafter by each succeeding Secretary of Commerce thereafter.He also serves in numerous other leadership positions in the international business and legal communities, including the International Practice Section (Chair 2008-2013, 2002-2003; and Member, Board of Governors 1994-present) and the Business Law Section (Chair 2015-2018 & Member, Board of Governors 2013-present) of the Virginia State Bar. He is an active member of the Commerce Committee of the Virginia Manufacturer's Ass'n and the International Trademark Association (INTA), among others.Articles John has authored have appeared in national, state and regional legal, trade association, governmental and other publications, and he also regularly publishes articles for dissemination to clients and associates of his firm.
