Directly responsible for the Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, Quality Control, Purchasing and Site Service functions with a strategy to remove all waste from the total supply chain. The supply chain extends into Europe, Asia and the Middle East. KPI include manufacturing costs, cost of quality, on time in full, inventory stock turn, customer return rate, accident rate, absence and productivity.

Responsible for the material control, planning, warehousing and distribution of child seats and wheeled goods.Responsible for the management of the Far East supply of seat covers and associated fabricsResponsible for the control of inventory and obsolescence.Accountable for the management of the capacity planning and inter company trade including the purchase of wheeled goods from China

Management and development of the supply chain of four business units with a combined turn over of £110M and a headcount of 30 staff and a budget of £5MResponsible for the management of customer service, inventory and distribution costs through a well developed range of KPI.

Responsible for the introduction of a continuous improvement strategy using a mix of techniques including, TPM, SMED and Kaizen. A plan was delivered by setting up a selection of KPI measures and control charts with six initial improvement projects targeting maximum return on investment of resources. The Continuous Improvement activity was supported by a department of 120 staff and operators, with each production line engaged in a project. The process was integrated into standard management practice by developing and implementing a shop floor computer system.
